The writing was on the wall for weeks, and the Buccaneers may now be in full tank mode.
Adam Schefter is reporting that Greg Schiano and the Buccaneers have benched quarterback Josh Freeman, and will start rookie quarterback Mike Glennon.
Bucs have made the move: Benching Josh Freeman for Mike Glennon, per league source.

Schiano of course denied even during the off-season that Freeman’s job was in jeopardy. Schiano said Sunday he never thought about replacing Freeman, but apparently he lied.
The mess that the Buccaneers have just got worse. Freeman was in a contract year, and now that probably won’t happen. The move to Glennon makes Schiano seem inconsistent in his actions, and puts the Buccaneers in a situation where they now have to determine if Glennon is the future or if they should jump in the 2014 quarterback derby.
