I don’t know if it’s because they saw Texas A&M move the ball on Alabama or they are feeling good from beating down Texas. Ole Miss faces off against Alabama in Tuscaloosa this weekend and you would think they would be trying to lay in the weeds and sneak up on the Tide. Not so fast with all the talking the Rebels have been doing:
“We can put points on them,” Wallace said. “I think we can put points on anybody. We just got to show up and play and it’s the same thing every week: Let’s stay on schedule and control the tempo and don’t have any turnovers.”
“We have better receivers than A&M,” Wallace said. “They want to talk about Mike Evans being so good; well, we have Donte (Moncrief) and I think Laquon (Treadwell) is going to be that way. I think we have better players on the outside than A&M does.”
I like the Rebels having confidence but they are starting to show their youth with all this chatter. It’s not like the Tide needed bulletin board material but Ole Miss is determined to do it. Their chances of pulling this upset drop each time they comment on the game.
