Things are looking bleak for Matt Kemp’s 2013 season.
Kemp has nursing injury after injury all season, and now it seems like things are nearing the end of the road, as the Dodgers have indefinitely shut him down.
Kemp has been rehabbing in Single-A from a sprained ankle he suffered in late July, and now it’s his hamstring that’s nagging him.
Dodgers manager Don Mattingly stated the following:
“I’m not ready to concede anything, but at some point we run out of time.”
Shutting down Kemp may be the best long term move, as Kemp is in his prime years and still has 6 years left on his massive contract. The Dodgers have proven to be potent without him, lick your wounds and think of the future.
