This new age world of media we live in is something else.
Yesterday’s blockbuster trade between the Browns and the Colts is the perfect example.
Trent Richardson was expecting to be the Browns future at running back. Instead the talented back from Alabama was traded to Indianapolis after only 18 games as a Brown.
To make matters worse, Mark Schwab of CBS-19 and 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland is reporting that Richardson said a friend called him asking if he’d been traded.
Clearly believing it was a hoax, Richardson told his friend to “shut up” and hung up the phone, but when he turned on his radio he learned that he had, in fact, been traded to the Colts.
Trent also said a friend called, said "You've been traded?" he told him to shut up & hung up. Turned on radio and learned he'd been dealt.

Richardson will thrive in Indianapolis, but the trade and leaking of the information before all parties were notified is definitely the new trend in sports media.
