Aaron Hernandez is quietly sitting in jail, but nothing surrounding this once loved NFL star is ever quiet. TMZ has learned that one of Hernandez’ fellow inmates attempted to steal his identity for souvenir purposes.
The story seems to be that shortly after Hernandez was arrested, he was taken to the medical wing for treatment. One of the inmates saw his medical badge and thought it would be something good to keep. Maybe he thought he could sell it once he was released, or maybe he was just an adoring fan. Either way he was caught because someone snitched on him, and Hernandez was able to get his badge back.
At least Hernandez can take solace in the notion that his popularity isn’t diminished even when he’s facing murder charges.
