Most times when an opponent comes onto your home turf and steals a huge playoff win, the losing teams is gracious and forthright in explaining the defeat.
Not Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters. The Pro Bowl offensive lineman wasn’t in the mood to be gracious at all, and told CSN Philly that the Saints simply got lucky.
“I felt like this was the year,” left tackle Jason Peters said. “We would have won, we would have had to go face [No. 2 seed] Carolina. I felt real good about playing them, but like I said, we got knocked out and we’re at home now.
“They got lucky and beat us. We beat ourselves in the first half and they came out with the win.”
The Eagles simply left a ton of opportunities and points out on the field last night, and that in itself is why the Saints were the better team.
