During the Texas coaching search, a lot was made about how Texas had the most many of any football program in the country. Forbes valued them as the most valuable as well. Now from USA Today, they made a record amount of revenue last year and spent a record amount:
Texas had $165.7 million in operating revenue and $146.8 million in operating expenses for 2012-13, according to its latest annual financial report to the NCAA. Both are highs for the school.
There is no doubt that Charlie Strong has all the resources available to him to right the Texas football ship.
The NCAA says there is no money in college athletics though.
