Kentucky’s starting center Willie Caulie-Stein likely won’t play today against Michigan.
The Wildcats were able to defeat rival Louisville Friday night, despite missing Caulie-Stein for the entire second half. A big reason for that was the play of freshmen Dakari Johnson. The McDonald’s All-American posted 15 points (7-of-10 from the field) and 6 rebounds.
As Kentucky plans to move on without Willie Caulie-Stein, the sophomore big still wants to give it a go.
“He’s acting like he thinks he can do something,” Calipari said. “He’s saying that he may want to give it a try, but he hasn’t been out of that boot.”
Johnson will have to be productive once again if Kentucky wants to reach their 16th final four.
