John Wall is having the best season of his career with 19.7 PPG, 8.7 APG and a FG percentage of 52.6%, all while leading the Wizards to their first NBA playoffs appearance in 6 seasons. That doesn’t mean all is promised, however. According to NBC Sports, Wall has been left of the USA basketball roster for 2014-16.
This may sound like a disgrace after all Wall has done in his time with the Wizards, but the truth is that the NBA is loaded with amazing point guards, who do just as well as Wall, if not better. There is a chance the Wall could still make the team, as USA Basketball’s Jerry Colangelo has said he can add or delete players as he sees fit. This could serve as more motivation for Wall, if he perceived the USA men’s basketball team as a goal he has to achieve.
