According to multiple reports the Kansas City Chiefs are a team that are open to bringing in a QB with their 1st round pick in Thursday’s NFL Draft.
Negotiations between them and starting QB Alex Smith don’t seem to be moving along well and the Chiefs could be looking to groom their future signal caller. This would be an all too familiar circumstance for Smith. Smith saw a young Colin Kaepernick drafted in San Francisco after leading his team to the playoffs the year prior and eventually take his starting spot.
Here is Ian Rapport’s tweet regarding KC:
Team that will consider a 1st-round QB: The #Chiefs. Negotiations with Alex Smith aren’t progressing well. Must keep long-term options open
