The NFL Draft is only a couple of days away, so that means more rumors, smokescreens and innuendo’s for us to help you keep up with.
Peter King of TheMMQB is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles want in on the top group of available wide receivers, and would love to move up in the draft to select a wide receiver that can help fans forget about DeSean Jackson.
Keep hearing they want in on the prime receiver action, and the receiver they want could be LSU’s Odell Beckham, who can play outside, inside in the slot and as a returner. But the Eagles would have to trade up, and GM Howie Roseman is doing his due diligence, talking to at least two teams in the mid-round neighborhood when Beckham would likely go. But the cost could be too rich for the Eagles’ blood. They may have to settle for Marqise Lee, who would be some consolation prize.
Philadelphia has no shot at Sammy Watkins or Mike Evans, but Odell Beckham or Marquise Lee wouldn’t be a bad haul at all for the Eagles.
