For a second time this offseason, Georgia DL Jonathan Taylor has been arrested. Taylor has been charged with felony aggravated assault and his status for the Bulldogs in now in jeopardy.
Taylor was arrested at 6:08am this morning by the University of Georgia police and booked in the Clarke County jail. Earlier this year, Taylor was one of four UGA players arrested and charged with theft by deception for fraud associated with the student stipend checks issues by the Bulldogs Athletic Association. He was offered a program that included community service, but a stipulation was that any other arrests or citations would violate the terms of the program.
UGA rules state that a felony arrest will lead to an immediate suspension from all athletic competition. Taylor is currently listed as a third-team nose tackle on the depth chart. The school has made no comments about the situation, but this is a developing story.
