It seems that the young hot-shot rookie out of Texas A&M is finally starting to win over his teammates in Cleveland.
Browns strong safety Donte Whitner told Peter King of TheMMQB.com that the locker room is now “split 50-50” on Manziel vs Hoyer for the starting quarterback job.
Cleve safety Donte Whitner told me he thinks the Browns locker room's 50-50 Hoyer/Manziel. They'd be okay with either starting.

Whitner’s proclamation comes some two weeks after ESPN’s Bob Holtzman reported that Browns players expect Brian Hoyer to be named the starter “well before” the third preseason game.
Manziel’s ability to be dynamic once he escapes the pocket has one source believing the job will ultimately be his when it’s all said and done.
Reported 2 wks ago browns players expected Hoyer to start week 1. Starting to think they were wrong. Team source says Manziel now ahead.
