Last week suspended Oklahoma Sooners RB Joe Mixon attended a school pep rally. Today head coach Bob Stoops is speaking up that Mixon exercised “poor judgment” by attending the event.
“Even though it wasn’t a mandatory team event … he shouldn’t have been there,” Stoops said. “I wasn’t there, and most of the coaches weren’t.”
Mixon was suspended from the team for retaliating against another female student who appeared to have struck him and was reportedly cursing at him. The Sooners maintain that Mixon has been suspended from all team activities and events.
