In the upcoming season the Pittsburgh steelers will wear decals on their helmets to remember the legendary Chuck Noll.
According to the NFL the decal will have Chuck’s initials “CHN” engraved in gold.
Steelers President Art Rooney II comments on their decision to wear the decals.
“We wanted to do something,” Steelers President Art Rooney II said, according to the team’s official site “and after we talked about it internally that seemed to be the most appropriate thing we could do. The team will wear it the whole season.”
Noll coached the Steelrs for 23 straight seasons and is the only coach to win four Super Bowls thus far. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993.
In addition to the decals, the coaching staff will wear pins paying homage to Noll throughout the entire season.
