Brook Lopez to Miss Up to 2 Weeks with Foot Injury

Brook Lopez

It looks like Brook Lopez is still having issues with his right foot after getting injured in a preseason game vs Sacramento.

Via ESPN New York,

Brook Lopez might miss the next 10 days to two weeks with what sources are calling a “soft tissue” injury in his surgically repaired right foot. The Brooklyn Nets center did not suffer a fracture to the foot, which is very encouraging news for the team and its All-Star center. But if Lopez needs more than 10 days to recover, his status for the season opener at Boston on Oct. 29 could be in doubt. The Nets said Thursday that Lopez suffered “a mild right midfoot sprain” after being stepped on during the first quarter of the Nets’ preseason game against Sacramento on Wednesday.

Lopez has missed 134 games in the last three seasons and is starting on the wrong foot, pun intended, this season. The Nets can’t afford to have Lopez go out another season and it is beginning to look like this will be a chronic issue for the 7 footer.
