The Facebook post above was posted by Karlos Williams pregnant girlfriend saying that he abused her. It was reported that it wasn’t the pregnant girlfriend who reported the abuse but someone else who saw the post.
That someone else according to emails acquired by Deadspin was FSU general counsel Carolyn Egan.
That got the ball rolling on the current official investigation. FSU has taken a lot of heat for covering up things, but in this case it appears they were trying to do the right thing. Williams hasn’t been charged or arrested with any crime.
