I’ll let Kelvin Benjamin slide on this one, he’s only a rookie, so he won’t get the Donovan McNabb treatment.
Back in 2008, it was Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, who nine-years after entering the NFL, was unaware that a game could end up in a tie.
On Sunday, Panthers rookie wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin suffered the same fate with the rule book after Carolina’s game with the Cincinnati Bengals ended knotted at 37-37.
“I didn’t know you could tie in the NFL,” Benjamin told The Charlotte Observer following the game.
