The 2014-15 season is starting out on a terrible note for the Oklahoma City Thunder. First, Durant went down with injury, and now its appears it’s Russell Westbrook’s turn. It has been confirmed that Westbrook fractured his hand in Thursday night’s game against the Clippers.
Thunder coach Scott Brooks says Russell Westbrook has a small fracture in his right hand.

Brooks says the fracture is in Westbrook’s second metacarpal. Brooks did not provide a timetable for recovery.

Even though the Thunder aren’t giving a timetable for Westbrook’s return, this injury usually takes 6-8 weeks. This means that the Thunder are now without both Westbrook and Durant until December. The Thunder might be looking at a fight to make a playoff spot with all of these injuries looming over the team.
