Christiane Justino aka Cris ‘Cyborg’ has been pulled from the Invicta FC 10 main event in December due to injury.
‘Cyborg’ is said to have a “full thickness rupture of the anterior talofibular ligament, ” according to MMAJunkie.com.
Most rupture ligaments take a minimum of 8 months to recover which would eliminate any thought of a 2015 Rousey vs ‘Cyborg’ UFC fight. Justino was scheduled to compete for the first time at 135 lbs and it was widely considered her first step toward a Rousey title shot.
The new Invicta FC 10 main event will feature atomweight champion Michelle Waterson (12-3) and challenger Herica Tiburcio (8-2).
