The source of the Jameis Winston point shaving accusation IBN is shaky at best, but Winston played bad enough in the first half of the game against Louisville, that it gained traction pretty quickly.
TMZ did some digging and the FBI actually made a comment on it.
We spoke with a rep for the FBI who tells us, “We are the agency that would investigate these claims.”
However, when we asked if there was an active investigation into Jameis … the FBI told us, “I can neither confirm nor deny that we are investigating allegations of point shaving.”
The story goes that Jameis’ High School teammate put $5k on Louisville in the 1st half, so Jameis intentionally played terrible to make sure that his buddy got paid.
Without any hardcord evidence, I am going to give Jameis the benefit of the doubt.
