Manchester United lost about 10 million pounds (which is $15,647,650) in revenue in the first quarter because the team failed to qualify for the Champions League.
According to ESPNFC, Commercial, matchday and broadcasting revenue all dropped because of the team’s last season’s struggles.
United brought in 98.5 million pounds in the three months to the end of September 2013, but that was reduced by 9.8 million pounds to 88.7 million pounds in the same period this year.
Matchday revenue was 15.1 million — down 4.2 million pounds — as United played fewer home games, while broadcasting income dropped from 19.3 million pounds to 16.8 million pounds.
