Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon has broken the single-game FBS rushing record with 408 yards on 25 carries– and he did it in three quarters against Nebraska.
Gordon broke the record of 406 yards held by LaDainian Tomlinson set in 1999 against UTEP. Gordon looked like a man among boys, gashing and pounding the Cornhuskers for big run, after big run.
Tomlinson offered his congratulations via Twitter:
That kid @Melvingordon25 bad!! Congrats on breaking the NCAA single game rushing record. #respect

Gordon broke the record on a 26-yard touchdown run to end the third quarter as he broke the record in style. Gordon had touchdown runs of 62, 1, 6 and 26 yards, on the top of the other 313 Gordon gained.
