Tables and Ladders and Chairs! Oh my!
Possibly the most anticipated match of the night was the clash between Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt. And boy did these guys deliver. (Side note: Wyatt still has the best entrance in the company, including the new steaming lantern)
We start off with an all-out brawl between the two before Ambrose takes control and hits a flying elbow off the apron to Wyatt outside. Back in the ring, Wyatt hits a flying crossbody and is suddenly in control. Back and forth we go as Ambrose takes control when Wyatt starts playing to the crowd and he attempts to hit Wyatt by going over the top rope but Bray catches Ambrose with a massive uppercut and then tosses him into the steel steps.
Wyatt is in complete control as we head back in the ring as he hits a splash and then starts to speak with some demons around him in a pretty creepy moment. Ambrose tries to fight back by hitting a flying crossbody of his own but uhh…
Yeah Bray isn’t having any of that.
We eventually end up outside of the ring and both men hit each other with a vicious double-clothesline as the ref begins his ten count. Somehow Ambrose and Wyatt make it in at nine and begin to try out-brawling each other inside of the ring. Ambrose hits an awesome bulldog on Wyatt and is in control, so naturally he mocks Bray in a way only the Fringe Lunatic could pull off.
But Wyatt counters with a Sister Abigail attempt out of nowhere only for Ambrose to reverse it and hit Bray with a flying double kick. Wyatt eventually makes his push and hits Dean with a massive slam for the near-fall and for some reason the fact that Ambrose kicked out makes Bray smile as the crowd begins to serenade Wyatt with “He’s got the whole world in his hands” in an awesome moment.
Wyatt hits a VICIOUS clothesline and then slams Ambrose onto the steps outside of the ring but somehow Ambrose kicks out and Bray looks like he might cry. Wyatt rolls out of the ring and grabs a mic for some reason. He begins to plead with Ambrose telling him it doesn’t have to be like this, that they could have ruled the world together and there’s nothing anyone in the back can do about it. He then apologizes to Ambrose for the path he chose.
Bray heads outside and brings two chairs into the ring but Ambrose picks one up before Wyatt can do any damage. The Eater of Worlds drops to his knees and begs Ambrose to punish him with it as the ref tries to stop Dean. The Fringe Lunatic snaps and assaults Wyatt with the chair to cause the DQ before hitting Dirty Deeds onto the steel chair.
Ambrose heads outside and grabs a table because it’s time for some awesome. He lays Watt on the table and hits a an elbow drop off the top rope and through the table. Ambrose is outside and he throws a table in the ring and slams it on Wyatt. Ambrose outside again and he tosses no less than ten chairs into the ring and throwing them on Wyatt.
Ambrose then grabs a massive ladder and sets it up in the ring before climbing up top to celebrate his win and OH MY GOD THEY’RE SETTING UP A TLC MATCH BETWEEN AMBROSE AND WYATT AREN’T THEY?! YES! YES! YES!
Sure enough, it’s announced later on that Ambrose and Wyatt will face off at the TLC PPV in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs match. WWE went two for two with the awesomeness last night.
