I guess this will the get the skeptics off Manning for a few weeks. Adam Schefter is reporting that Peyton Manning actually played the last half of the season and the playoff loss to the Colts with a torn right quad muscle.
Broncos QB Peyton Manning played Sunday’s Divisional Playoff loss and the past month of the season with a torn right quad, per two sources.

The quad injury is irrelevant in my opinion with Tony Romo and Aaron Rodgers being held together with duct tape. Tom Brady has injuries, Ben Roethlisberger played with injuries as well.
Manning played some of his worst football of the season after his initial injury during a Week 15 win over the San Diego Chargers on Dec. 14, but it had nothing to do with Manning overthrowing guy left and right on Sunday.
