Cleveland Cavaliers PG Kyrie Irving will be joining the already epic 3-point contest field of Golden State’s Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Portland’s Wesley Matthews, Atlanta’s Kyle Korver, Los Angeles Clippers’ J.J. Redick and defending champion Marco Belinelli of San Antonio.
Kyrie won the 3-point contest in the 2013 All-Star game, but was defeated by Marco Belinelli last year. Irving is shooting 41% from 3 for the season and has made 97 3 0pointers in total, the 15th most in the entire NBA. Im sure last week’s 11 3 barrage against the Portland Trailblazers influenced decision makers to include Irving in his years already compelling field.
