Paraguayan swimmer Luana Alonso has caused quite a stir on social media recently, and it’s all thanks to her unique choice of tattoo placement. The Olympic athlete decided to get a tattoo of the Olympic rings on her sensitive body part, and the internet can’t stop talking about it.
She chose to get the tattoo on her upper thigh, right on her bikini line. The decision to place the tattoo in such a sensitive spot has certainly raised some eyebrows, but Alonso is unapologetic about her choice.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the 20-year-old swimmer announced to her growing fan base and supporters that she qualified for the Paris Games in July, which will be her second appearance at the Olympic level.
She posted: “It’s official! Qualified for the Paris Games 2024 ! My heart is happy to represent the country once again! Thank you to my family, friends, and sponsors for making this possible!” Alonso posted. “Let’s go, Paraguay.”
Luana Alonso posted a picture of herself in her swimsuit and showed off her Olympic ring tattoo in a risky area on her body. You could see tan lines near her sensitive area.
“Just joined the Olympic Rings tattoo club,” she wrote on Instagram.
Before Luana Alonso became a household name online, she was at Virginia Tech qualifying for the 2022 NCAA Championships for Virginia Tech, finishing 30th in the 100 fly individual in a best time of 52.29.
Internationally, Alonso swam the 100-meter fly at the 2021 Olympic Games and placed 28th.
In a world where conformity often reigns supreme, it’s refreshing to see someone like Luana Alonso embrace their individuality so boldly. And who knows, maybe her daring choice will inspire others to be unapologetically themselves as well.
