Former NBA player Jack Haley, who played at UCLA and for the Lakers, died Monday, according to the Orange County Register. He was 51.
Haley died at Los Alamitos Medical Center on Monday afternoon and that there were no signs of foul play. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
Haley was part of the Chicago Bulls’ NBA championship team that went 72-10 in the 1995-96 regular season.
He played eight years in the league, including one season with the Lakers, in 1991-92.
News of Haley’s death started to spread when his former coach and teammate, Phil Jackson and Scottie Pippen, mentioned him on Twitter.
“Jack Haley – member of Bulls 95-96 team of ages. RIP.” Jackson wrote on Twitter.
