Phil Jackson: Melo Was Playing ‘On One leg’ All Season

Knicks President Phil Jackson has deemed this season for Carmelo Anthony as impossible to judge because of Anthony’s season-long knee injury, saying the Knicks star played his 40 games “on one leg.’’

“He’s a guy we want something like he was three years ago,’’ Jackson said. “This season, he played like on one leg, it seemed to me. Even from the start, it looked like he was favoring that leg. I hope he moves on from that because he’s the leader of this team and has to be that.’’

The Post has reported Anthony played most of the season with a partially torn patellar tendon in his left knee — while his post surgery prognosis was 4-6 months.
