The ongoing domestic violence investigation involving Cowboys RB Joseph Randle has finally come to a conclusion, and Randle will not be charged with any crime.
Prosecutors in Wichita, Kansas, cited a lack of evidence in deciding not to charge Randle, according to Drew Davison of the Star-Telegram.
Randle was arrested in February on drug charges after police were called and told of a domestic violence case. The drug charges were later dropped, but police said the domestic violence investigation was ongoing. Now that investigation has wrapped up, and Randle is legally in the clear.
Randle isn’t necessarily in the clear with the NFL, however. The league conducts its own investigation into any case where a player is charged with domestic violence. This means that Randle could potentially face a suspension. A decision from the NFL has not been reached at this time.
