Shump was being held together with duct tape during the NBA Finals and now Cleveland.com confirms how bad it really was.
Shump had to receive multiple pain killing shots after a screen from Draymond Green left him with an extremely bruised shoulder. Shump was also battling a groin injury.
According to Cleveland.com if it was the regular season Shump would have been out 2-3 weeks, but knowing it was the Finals he left it all out on the court. Shump’s shooting was atrocious and you have to think his various ailments was a reason for that. Shump is a restricted free agent, the Cavs would like to keep him, but if he gets a massive deal I can’t see them matching.
