David West opted out of his contract with the Indiana Pacers to seek other opportunities. After leaving more than $12 million on the table, I’m sure West’s desire to play for a contender weights more than his desire to land a big contract. West has been linked to the Warriors, Spurs, and Clippers and now the Cavs are throwing their hat in the race.
I'm hearing the Cleveland Cavaliers have "huge interest" in David West. Most definitely aligns with his desire to play for a contender

I think West’s hard nose style of play would be an addiction for any team, maybe enough to help a championship caliber team get over the hump but I’m just not sure how he fits in with the current Cavs roster. West averaged 11.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists last season with the Pacers but where would he find minutes in Cleveland with Kevin Love, Timofey Mozgov, Tristan Thompson and Anderson Varejao on the roster? Signing West could possibly indicated that one of the Cavs bigs could be traded.
