We reported that Chris Bosh’s baby mama Allison Mathis was suing him because he wouldn’t allow her per court order to speak his name on Basketball Wives.
Because of that court order, Mathis never appeared on the show.
It looks like Ms. Mathis has an ulterior motive for the lawsuit, which is that she needs money to pay off her bankruptcy according to a report from The Jasmine Brand.
Bosh’s baby mama Allison Mathis – who is mother to his daughter Trinty – filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy last year in Florida Court, claiming to have assets in the 100-500k and liabilities in the same range.
Mathis listed her real property in the 300k range and 20k in personal property. She owes close to 284k on her Windermere, FL home. She was facing foreclosure on the home and a pending lawsuit was filed against her in Orange County, FL.
Bosh’s baby mama signed a re-payment plan as part of her bankruptcy that stated she was to pay $2,969 a month to her creditors for the first 9 months and then a total of $3,815.39 a month for the next 50 months.
However, the trustee in the bankruptcy filed docs earlier this month stating Mathis had not made payments. The court documents explain that Bosh’s baby mama hasn’t made the required payments to her creditors and is behind a total of $7,462 in payments. The trustee is demanding the bankruptcy be thrown out and Mathis be on the hook for her massive debt on her own.
As long a Bosh’s kid is doing alright and he is taking care of her, this seems like a personal problem for Ms. Mathis, not something that Bosh needs to help her out with.
