I know that Roy Jones Jr. getting robbed during a fight in London should be the shocking part of this article, but the fact that Roy is now doubling as a trainer and his fighter won on Saturday is what shocks me the most.
Let’s paint a picture of Saturday Night’s events:
- Roy attends fight at Wembley Stadium in London.
- Roy is the corner man for WBA ‘regular’ super middleweight champion Fedor Chudinov (boxing officially has too many belts).
- Chudinov dominates the fight and Roy is ecstatic.
- Roy returns to the locker room to find he had been robbed of his custom jacket (Given to him by Putin when he became a Russian citizen).
- Russian promoter Vladimir Hryunov offers $50K to anyone who returns the custom jacket (why wouldn’t he just have another made?).
That pretty much sums up Roy’s Saturday night and it is safe to assume that Roy is still on the hunt for his Russian jacket. If anyone sees a picture of it on eBay of Twitter to let me know because I’m willing to split the $50k reward with you.
