The word injury is a word Los Angeles Lakers fans cringe to.
Last night in a preseason blowout loss to Golden State Warriors, Lakers guard Jordan Clarkson sprained his shoulder.
Lakers coach Byron Scott spoke on the Clarkson injury.
Jordan Clarkson (sprained shoulder) will get an MRI tomorrow. Byron says it may jeopardize his availability for Wednesday's season opener.

Thursday’s MRI will bring resolution to gauge Clarkson’s availability. The former Missouri Tiger was having an excellent preseason averaging 11.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 22.2 minutes of play. Clarkson’s athleticism and shooting improvement has been on display, showing his development this summer.
If Clarkson is unable to go, the Lakers will lean heavily on the second pick of the 2015 NBA Draft D’Angelo Russell to lead the team. Of course, Russell will have Kobe Bryant and 2015 NBA Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams to pass the rock to.
Lakers begin the regular season next Wednesday at home versus the Minnesota Timberwolves.
