One thing about basketball I will never understand is how some players at the professional level are such horrific free throw shooters. I know from growing up playing basketball that somethings about the game change. The length of the court, speed of the game, and distance of the 3-point line all change as you grow older but the free throw line remains the same. Can someone explain to me how DeAndre Jordan allowed this to happen to him?
DeAndre Jordan airballs back to back free throws, Hack-A-DJ will likely continue https://t.co/pQ88j0WeMx

I’m sure Jordan is putting in extra time during practice to raise his free throw percentage but he has to find a way to convert what he does in practice to the game. It’s been reported that he at times has hit 8..9..10 free throws in a row during practice. In my eyes the Clippers will never be a great team as long as Jordan hurts them at the line. This Hack-a-DJ strategy allowed teams to control the pace of the game causing the clippers to lose their rhythm. When thing really count, the Clippers will be forced to bench Jordan which will then expose them defensively.
