Once you get that blue check on Twitter, you know you made it. Kristaps Porzingis shares how many Twitter followers he gained following his 29-point game.
If you don’t buy into the hype, now is a good time to start. Kristaps Porzingis has stepped up to the plate or court rather, and shows no sign of stopping. Tuesday’s game against the Hornets demonstrated that Porzingis has transitioned into his role for the Knicks. Following his 29-point game, he gained a whopping 15,000 followers on Twitter. I’m sure he deleted the app to keep it from freezing his phone. But the 20-year old rookie isn’t letting this get to his head.
“Social media is going crazy, getting more followers and stuff,’’ Porzingis said. “I tweeted a picture after the game. I was active to keep the momentum going.’’
“I’m right here, though,’’ Porzingis said. “I’m focused, not flying. It’s 12 games into the season. It’s just the beginning. I’m staying focused and doing what the coach asks me to do.’’
