How a Pool Party Helped GRONK Select Arizona For College

In a Vanity Fair excerpt from Bruce Weber’s book All American XV Leap of Faith, Rob Gronkowski dad talks about how GRONK chose to attend Arizona for college. A not so shocking surprise it revolves around a pool party at Arizona.

“With each of my sons, when they got to the campus that was right for them, they knew right away. Rob had something like 65 scholarship offers, and I asked, “Where are you going? Syracuse? Ohio State?” He goes, “University of Arizona.” I asked, “Why there?” “Dad, if you ever went to a pool party at Arizona, you’d understand.”

I don’t see anything wrong with that reasoning behind choosing Arizona. Honestly that’s how a lot 18-year-old pick colleges; girls, parties and fun. Gronk may have never won a college national championship but he’s won a Super Bowl and is breaking NFL records so it all worked out in the end.
