Wrestlemania is about five months away and as it is in wrestling, the card is up in the air. Brock Lesnar has been absent from TV but he should be returning next month for the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania season but he has no opponent. A lot of possible names have been thrown around but one name in particular is intriguing. According to former WWE writer Court Bauer from the MLW radio show, Kevin Owens vs Brock Lesnar is seriously being discussed as a possible Wrestlemania 32 match.
This would be a great buildup match with Kevin Owens verbally sparring against Paul Heyman leading up to the match. I feel they can play well off each other and this would make Owens look real legit by going toe to toe with the Beast. Of course, I think ultimately the WWE will find a more high profile name to be Brock Lesnar’s opponent because they need to get as many butts in seats at Wrestlemania 32, and while Owens vs Brock is great for some, it won’t pull in the casual viewers. I hope it does happen but I am not betting on Vince believing in Owens. Of course with so many injuries and the Rock unable to wrestle at Wrestlemania, the options are dwindling.
