For the past 13 years, Caron Butler has been one of the most underrated players in the NBA. For his career, he averages 14.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 dimes and 1.3 steals per game.
Before all of this was even possible, Butler was a troubled kid in the mean streets of the south side of Racine.
When Butler was a member of the Los Angeles Clippers, he met actor Mark Wahlberg and the rest is history.
Butler came out with a book entitled, “Tuff Juice: My Journey From The Streets to the NBA”.
After Wahlberg was introduced to the book, he decided making a film about it was necessary.
“It’s unimaginable,” Butler stressed. “It’s a dream come true. I’m living a dream. This is a special moment, not just for me but for people that think these things can’t happen. Seeing is believing. C’mon, man: south side of Racine, Wisconsin, seeing all this adversity, seeing all these things. And now I’m blessed to be in the position to call Mark Wahlberg my friend, a guy I can do projects with. Just being in this position with this platform is a blessing, man, and I don’t take it for granted.
There’s no timetable of when this movie will be released, but whenever it does come to fruition, this film will be interesting to say the least.
