Leandro Barbosa has become a very solid role player at this stage of his career. He is averaging around 13 minutes per game for a Golden State Warriors team who are in pursuit of their second straight NBA title. Barbosa tells New York Times’ Scott Cacciola what keeps him going after years in the NBA is arinca do mato.
“It’s a medicine you give horses. Whenever they get hurt it helps them to recover very quickly because they have to run. It cleans out all the bad things that you have in your body. All natural.”
Barbosa’s trainer told him about the medicine after he tore his ACL back in 2013. Since then he has remained fairly healthy, and hasn’t struggled with any major setbacks.
“It burns going down. You kind of feel dizzy if you’re not used to it. I got used to it.”
I’m sure the Warriors don’t mind him drinking it as long as it keeps him healthy, and on the floor. I think I’ll have to pass on this remedy though.
