The relationship between Antonio Cromartie and his mother is tumultuous to say the least and it is all over money.
Cromartie’s younger sister LaQuinta Gardner told TMZSports.com that her brother wishes to evict their mother from the home he purchased as gift for her in 2007. Gardner goes on to say that the former Jets player paid for all expenses until this past February when he began asking his mother to cover the $700 per month mortgage. Reportedly Mom refused since the home was a gift.
Refusing to back down, Cromartie sent an official notice which states his mother must vacate by August 15th unless she sends him a check for $2,310, the amount of back rent owed.
Gardner says she has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for her mother. Cromartie has 12 kids and is currently a free agent. That’s a lot of mouths to feed.
