It’s unfortunate Indians or baseball fans won’t get to see Rick Vaughn do the honors for the Indians game one first pitch ceremony.
According to an MLB source from AP, MLB says the Indians have already conducted a search for those wanting do the first pitch before their games in the World Series this year and why Sheen won’t be among the chosen.
A league spokesman said MLB has worked with the Indians to identify “former franchise greats” to handle the duties. And that search apparently excludes actors.
It’s a shame MLB won’t allow him to do it. Sheen was ready to do it if he got the call. MLB should watch his matchup with Jack Parkman and rethink their decision.
