Maybe Robert Nkemdiche just isn’t cut out for the rigors of the NFL?
On the field — the former Ole Miss All American is a hand-full and then some, possessing talent and more to play in the league.
Off the field — he’s still a handful, and according to ESPN — Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians would prefer he grow up sooner than later.
It’s the mental fortitude that has been lacking, according to Cardinals coach Bruce Arians.
“Talent [is] not an issue,” Arians said Wednesday. “Maturity is. And it’s just maturing.”
A recent incidents that sparked debate around the Cardinals facility — centered around Nkemdiche, who after Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis — was wearing a T-shirt under his suit, instead of a buttoned-down shirt and tie — the Cardinals standard dress code for a trip home after a road loss.
According to reports from ESPN.com — Arians reportedly pressed the rookie about his outfit, who then made matters worse by having to borrow a tie, then have a teammate tie it.
Here’s hoping he finds that sense of urgency.
