According to the Sun Sentinel, the unidentified sex worker told police she was only allowed to keep $120 dollars after two weeks of work that should have netted $3000. Craig Barnes, the client turned pimp that acquired her services, reportedly threatened her and made her pay for the rooms she used over the two week period. When police arrived to talk with Barnes, they discovered and seized 4.1 grams of methamphetamine and muscle-relaxing pills from a shopping bag.
Barnes was arrested Sunday on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution, three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a new legend drug. He is being held on a $12,125 bond. He’ll be keeping more than 100% of that amount.
