TMZ Sports has video of Johnny Manziel’s latest court appearance. The ex-NFL qb was in court regarding his domestic violence case, and during testimony to the judge blamed the NFL for some of the issues he’s had.
Part of Manziel’s initial plead deal in the case was to enter a rehab program. Either the NFL sponsored program or one approved by the court. Manziel was clearly not here for anythig NFL related, saying:
I don’t necessarily always believe in what the NFL does and have a lot of trust with them based on past situations … based on other players how they’ve gotten treated.
Strong statement from Manziel, who we believe still wants to have a career in the league.
We have written extensively on the Johnny Manziel new year, new me tour. It seems as though he is taken things seriously this time around, even telling the judge, “my life is trending upwards.”
