Wednesday Toronto Rapper Tory Lanez was was arrested by Miramar police in Florida’s Broward County for drug and gun charges.
Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson was stopped by police for an expired dealer tag on his 2014 Rolls Royce.
Charges for the artist include failure to register a motor vehicle, driving without a valid license, carrying a concealed weapon, and misdemeanor marijuana possession of fewer than 20 grams. With a bond at $1,000 the rapper was released Thursday, Lanez attorney maintained his client’s innocence and says he will be ”fully exonerated once all the facts come to light.” as reported by The Florida Sun-Sentinel
Tory is also scheduled to perform at this year’s Coachella Festival, which starts this weekend.
