It’s been 15 years since we’ve seen the Cavs or Warriors but they’ll finally face off in Game 1 of these NBA playoffs, which have been a dud. Warriors come in 12-0 and the Cavs have a one loss record.
Despite both teams displaying dominance, Jeff Van Gundy believes the Warriors are just too damn good and the Cavs don’t have a chance. The same Cavs with the best player in the world against a team that blew a 3-1 lead.
Kevin Durant changes things a lot but that’s why we play.
Van Gundy spoke to the San Francisco Chronicle and here’s what he said about the Warriors.
“I don’t think the Warriors will be challenged,” Van Gundy said. “I think they’ll be in the same situation as last year, up 3-1 coming home. In my time in the NBA, this is the biggest talent differential between the best team and the second best team. No disrespect to Cleveland, but I just think the Warriors are at a different level.”
What will help the Warriors the most is blowing that 3-1 lead. You learn from your mistakes and if they find themselves in that position again, you can bet they’ll close it out this time around.
Van Gundy should know better than to say a LeBron led team has no chance.
