TMZ Sports is reporting that the Los Angeles Lakers are set to retire Kobe Bryant’s jersey on December 18th before a game against the Golden State Warriors.
This is an easy no brainer for the Lakers. Kobe is probably the third greatest Laker of all-time. Yes, behind Magic and Kareem. He’s also one of the greatest basketball players of all time. The real question is, which number hangs in the rafters?
8 Kobe won three titles with Shaq and was dominant. 24 Kobe was a savant and won two more titles and league MVP. Maybe the Lakers retire both. Tickets for that game will surely sky rocket. Congrats to the Mamba. Well deserved honor.
