Fox News dug once more into the sunken place to extract Burgess Owens to claim that BET Network is the root of anti-American sentiment.
(Nevermind BET is owned by Viacom but that’s neither here nor there.)
During a recent appearance on Mornings With Maria the former NFL safety joined a panel discussion on players protesting during the playing of the National Anthem. During his address he says although the players genuinely believe in what they’re doing, BET is largely to blame.
“Why is it they believe this? It’s because we have a Black Entertainment Television network that’s pushing this anti-American, anti-flag, anti-white scenario and this has been on purpose guys – 15 years we’ve been hearing this,”
Because nothing says burn the flag like 106th and Park. Not to mention that a large portion of people who consume BET’s programming are non-black.
